This project was one of the first high-altitude projects for our company. Built in 2006, this refuge is located at the terminus of the legendary Mont-Blanc Tramway at an altitude of 2300m.
Particularly complex access site requiring the use of specific techniques such as pouring concrete by helicopter. The role of these dams is to limit erosion and certain risks associated with the torrential nature of these watercourses. In order to guarantee maximum integration into the ecosystem, we have used matrices that allow the concrete to be shaped, giving it a rocky appearance.
